Welcome to MedicCom

MedicCom was developed to support the Toledo Area Disaster Medical Assistance Team. The TADMAT is a Level-1 team of the National Disaster Medical System, designated OH-1. This team has deployed to Hurricane Andrew '92, Marilyn, '95, The '96 Summer Olympic Games, the Nato 50th Summit ('99) and Hurricane Floyd '99. Members of the team have also assisted with the Kosovo refugee's at Ft. Dix and the Grand Forks, ND flooding.  And most recently the WTC cleanup in NYC and the 56th General Assembly of the UN as a contingent medical evac team in the event of a WMD incident.

MedicCom is also the host to a number of other DMAT's web sites and to other sites the owner/operator of MedicCom has as special interest. If you are looking for the support for McKesson/HBOC's Pathways Care Manager / Pathways Lab or STC's Datagate Interface Engine, check the links to the left

MedicCom.Org also is an interactive Web Bulletin Board System. An FTP file library and a number of mailing lists are available from this site (one of the largest disaster related file libraries). If you create an account using the link at the top right, and then sign-on to MedicCom, you can browse the message databases (archives of the mailing list messages).
